Senior Staffing Manager/Generalist | Charlotte Russe, Inc | San Diego, CA
We are currently seeking a Sr. Staffing Manager to support our corporate
office in it's hiring needs. We are in GROWTH mode and will be opening
60 new stores alone in 2008. This position affords tremendous next-level
opportunity within a strategically involved, dynamic Human Resources
Department.
The Sr. Recruiting Manager will manage the hiring process at entry to
Senior Manager level including: creating sourcing plans, mid and entry
level including establishing sourcing plans, negotiating temp agency
contracts, interviewing, conducting references, and communications with
multi-level hiring Managers. This position will establish hiring plans
and programs and tracks and demonstrates ROI and time effectiveness with
all selected processes.
- Communicates with multi-departmental, Sr. Hiring Managers to obtain and
clarify information for open position requisitions. Updates job
descriptions for open positions as requisitions are received. Develops
sourcing plans and writes copy for Applicant tracking System and other
source locations based on updated job descriptions.
- Maintains ongoing, pro-active communication and updates with hiring
Managers throughout process. Screens candidates, interviews, delegates
scheduling, and manages multi-departmental interviewing, re-cap and
finalization processes. Provides written assessments when recommending
next stage involvement to Hiring Managers.
- Actively builds network of contacts and potential applicants in
functional (exempt) areas. Recruits qualified candidates for positions
utilizing network and in house sourcing plan.Minimizes agency expenses
related to hire while providing timely response and filling of
positions.
- Manages Applicant Tracking System ensuring postings are accurate and up
to date and that applicants are screened, ranked, and contacted as is
appropriate.
- Manages Employee Referrals received on Applicant Tracking System,
forwarding to correct open and closed position folders and ensuring up
to date review of all employee referrals.
- Manages agencies involved in sourcing for positions. Manages process
including selection of outside agencies. Obtains approval for agency
sourcing from supervisor. Negotiates contracts for new agencies and
assesses agency reliance and selection based on productivity (urgency
and accuracy) of candidates provided.
- Supervises and manages the reference checking process for multi-level
candidates, insuring that all candidates are reference checked prior to
offer.
- Manages offer process with VP of Staffing.Incorporates recommendation
from supervisor and Hiring Manager and follows up with Hiring Manager on
approval of compensation. Creates offer letter and partners with
supervisor a/o hiring manager on extending of offer on a case by case
basis. Updates supervisor regularly on status changes, sourcing and
process challenges, compensation or offer issues, etc.
- Provides relocation information to appropriate candidates. Manages
process through ongoing communication with relocation agencies and
candidate.
- Manages and develops Staffing Coordinator in projects and
responsibilities: Tuition Reimbursement, Temp Agency Management, ERP
Management, Entry level sourcing and interviewing, scheduling, etc.
- Manages special projects.
- Ongoing assessment and recommendation for process improvement and
vendor selection. Research ATS processes and make recommendations.
- Directly supervises the Staffing Coordinator in the Human Resources
Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with
the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
This position requires:
- 5+ years Staffing/Recruiting Management experience
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to manage staffing
processes at senior and executive levels
- Retail corp. recruiting experience is highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Project and process management skills.
- Able to work independently as well as to take direction as needed.
- Amiable, customer service orientation combined with the ability to
manage and lead.
